Campus Involvement

Mr. Hillsdale is Michigan Alpha’s version of a pageant for men, in which contestants from around campus compete to persuade the judges and audience through multiple rounds that they should be the awarded the title of 'Mr. Hillsdale.' Each year, the rounds include formal attire, beach wear, talent portion, and Question and Answer rounds. Contestants are either independent, represent fraternities, or represent their sports teams. This event takes place in Philipps Auditorium, this fundraiser not only benefits Pi Phi's philanthropy, but also gives the campus a chance to see its funniest, most creative, and even most daring men in action and up close and personal!

Speed Date is a fun way to meet new people and possibly even a "potential" while supporting literacy through Champions Are Readers. It's a spring time event, and it was a definite hit for the second time this year! We hosted it around Valentines Day making it an appropriate time for people to get a chance to meet many new people and then later receive possible matches based on score sheets filled out during the rotations. Some couples on campus even acknowledge they got a little help finding each other through the Pi Beta Phi speed date. On the other hand, some people just have fun with it and meet tons of people. You know you had fun when your smile gets sore, and that's always the case after this event.

Pi Phi Gives you Wings is one of our annual Spring philanthropy efforts in which the whole campus is invited over to the Pi Phi lawn for Saucy Dog's wings, lemonade, cornhole, and music. The main feature of the event is our wing eating contest! Teams of two will compete for gift cards to Saucy Dogs.

Pie a Pi Phi is your chance to pie your favorite Pi Phi for just a few dollars a pie! Head to the union in the spring semester to see how much our members care about our philanthropy.
